Double R A Construction provided a much needed Flat Roof and Cooper Ridge Cap replacement for a homeowner in Larchmont, NY. From the beginning, our inspection uncovered the biggest problem. The roof lacked proper protection and needed attention now. The original flat roof was peeling back, leaving the decking exposed and the previously installed ridge caps were missing.

Without the protection of ridge caps, water and moisture is almost definitely going to be a major cause of decking rot and mold. There is evidence of running down into and under the shingles/decking and causing interior water damage. The amount of warped and lifting shingles we many. By replacing the roofing ad sealing the ridge caps, this will by time until the rest of the roof is replaced. 

These homeowners were getting older and didn't want to worry about maintaining their wood siding. We worked with them to find the perfect look and product that would fulfill their needs. James Hardie Cement Fiber Board Siding was the answer!  6" Cement fiberboard siding with a wood grain finish, the product was factory finished in Cobblestone color. The job doesn't look too different from the original siding, but they now have a new maintenance free look. Our home owners are very happy.

We installed new Therma Tru double doors for our customer in Harrison.  The pictures speak for themselves.  The product we used was Therma Tru Classic Craft Mahogany double doors with Bella Style glass with black nickel caming.  The door color is wild flower honey.

This project began when the client needed to update their home for a new homeowner's insurance policy. While the roof was aging, it hadn’t caused any issues, but during our inspection, we found that the flat roof section had significantly deteriorated over time and required replacement.

We replaced the aging flat roof with a durable SBS black roofing system, designed for long-lasting protection against the elements. The installation was seamless, ensuring the flat roof integrated perfectly with the existing structure.

The result was a refreshed, durable flat roof that not only improved the home's appearance but also provided reliable protection for years to come.

A homeowner in Mount Kisco, NY, contacted Double R A Construction for a free estimate on their aging roof, which had begun to show significant signs of wear. Upon arrival, our team conducted a thorough inspection of the entire roof, carefully examining each section for any areas that could be prone to water penetration. We specifically looked for torn, separated, or lifted shingles. What we found was a roof that had been worn down significantly, with many areas resembling the tread of an old tire.

After taking detailed photos of the roof's condition, we presented our findings to the homeowner. It was clear that the roof was in need of more than just a basic cleaning, but we were pleased to report that we didn’t observe any water damage in the attic, which indicated that the shingles were still functioning as intended. Based on this assessment, we recommended that the homeowner consider a roof cleaning to restore the roof’s appearance and remove the buildup of debris, dirt, and algae, which can cause further damage over time if left untreated.

We emphasized that while a roof cleaning would improve the roof’s condition temporarily, the roof would eventually require a full replacement in the near future due to the overall wear and tear. The homeowner appreciated our honest and transparent approach, trusting our recommendations and deciding to proceed with the roof cleaning for the time being.

While on the property, the homeowner also mentioned their interest in replacing their front picture window. After assessing the window and providing a few recommendations, they decided to have us replace it as well, furthering our relationship with the homeowner.

In the end, the roof cleaning was the primary focus of this project, and the homeowner was pleased with the results. They appreciated our thoroughness and honesty, and we look forward to assisting them with any future home improvement needs.
